Welcome to Cragabus Bed and Breakfast, Islay
Cragabus is a real home from home experience.
The house is tastefully furnished to a high standard and is situated amidst rugged scenery with the Mull of Kintyre in the distance. It is not unusual to have golden eagles flying overhead!
On arrival at our bed and breakfast accommodation you will receive a warm welcome and we will do all we can to ensure that you have a pleasant and comfortable visit to the wonderful Isle of Islay.
The Scottish Isle of Islay is part of the southern Hebrides and has a population of approximately 3200 people. With eight working distilleries, stunning scenery, amazing wildlife and very friendly people it is an island second to none!
Cragabus Bed and Breakfast has one double room en suite and one twin room with wash hand basin and private bathroom close by. Both rooms have tea and coffee facilities with hair-dryer provided. There is a comfortable lounge with a large selection of books for you to choose from and a conservatory where you can watch the birds at your leisure. The attractive dining room is where our guests will be served a full Scottish breakfast before setting off on the pursuits of the day.
Visiting “the Oa” is definitely an experience not to be missed with walks, the RSPB Reserve and the American Monument right on our doorstep. Cragabus is the perfect destination for relaxation before returning to the everyday life of the mainland with added vigour.
We are approximately a ten minute car journey from the ferry terminal in Port Ellen and a thirty minute journey by car or bus from Port Askaig to Port Ellen. We will be happy to discuss travel arrangements with you at any time and any other information you may require to ensure your visit to Islay is a memorable one.
